Today is Transformation Tuesday and I want to share with you how fitness has transformed my life!

It is not just about looking good, losing weight and being fit. Yes, looking and feeling good is great too, but if you are lacking health and even purpose in your life, a skinny body won't do much for you!

I have always heard, "ohh, you are so thin! You don't need to workout! You look great already!" Well, thanks, but, no, thanks! I might had looked thin and alright but healthy was a whole other story. I had to work hard. Pretty much get my bum-bums off the couch (where I spent most of my days, to be honest) and workout!

Here are a few things why I started a consistent fitness routine and stuck with it:

- it keeps my heart healthy. I few years ago when I my life was about being sick all the time and going from one doctor to the other to find answers, I had a stress test done and the doctor told me that although I was 45 my heart was of a woman of 58 years old. That startled me and i felt scared for my life. That was one of the reasons that exercise became non-negotiable for me.

- it gets my body stronger everyday. I suffered from thyroid and Hashimoto's disease for years and always new that at any point that could affect the health of my muscles and bones. Through exercise and proper nutrition, I have developed leaner and stronger muscles which feeds and protects my bones from developing other diseases.

- I feel good about myself, my looks, and my age ;) . We are all aging. Everyday. The choices we make today compounded overtime will majorly affect the way you feel, behave, and how you look! Our bodies, in my opinion, is a temple. God's given gift to live and to prospers. Taking good care of your body, mind, and soul is the only way yo honor that.

- it boosts my confidence. When I exercise and eat well I feel happier, taller, and definitely more confident. It's that feeling of a well done job. Even when I slack off my nutrition and program, I still can count on my confidence to give myself some grace, push through whatever is happening at that moment, and keep on going!

- it's a me thing! I am doing something for myself that no one else can do it for me. It's empowering! If I want to be healthier for a long time, fit and have a strong body so I am not depending on drugs to stay up, I have to do it and work for it. PURE reality, y'all! It will be nobody's fault if I don't achieve those goals, but my own. Period!

- I am setting an example for my daughter. Not only the fitness is fun and good for your body, but how important it is to me to care of myself, my body and soul, first! It's about self-respect, self love, discipline, and love for life! Especially for women, this can be very empowering and nothing better than being an example of health and strength to our children.

- It's helped me to stay accountable for my own health and fitness. This helps me stick with this lifestyle because we all need support and I am not alone. A support system it's what makes us stay consistent and help us thru the ups and downs.

If you can relate to my story in any way, and feel that you may want take your health to a different level, if you feel like you want to give it a try on eating healthy and implementing a fun and simple exercise routine to your life, know that I AM HERE FOR YOU!!! You don't need to do this alone. The hardest part of the process is saying YES to yourself. The rest will come in small steps and the fact you will have continuous support will certainly keep you on this path. SUCCESSFULLY. Reach out anytime if you need me. long sleeve <3
